Education:

However, having any equivalent certificate from your original country must be certified and accredited by one of the Polish diplomatic centres or any suitable institution.

Certification indicates that your certificate is consistent with the law of the country in which it was issued. After that, you have to make sure that your certificate complies with the Polish law.

Furthermore, in order to be admitted to postgraduate studies, you have to submit a university diploma from a Polish university or any equivalent documents, which must be recognized in Poland, from a university abroad. By the end of the first semester, you should have submitted your foreign certificate to a Polish university.

Student visa:

The application measures to get a student visa differs according to the country where you come from. However, there are some common requirements for all countries, including:

1. A filled visa application form.
2. A valid passport.
3. An official admission letter to a Polish university.
4. A short CV.
5. Your school or diploma certificates.
6. A proof of mastering the language in which you are going to study.
7. A proof that you have money to afford living and studying expenses in Poland.

There is another condition that you have to meet in order to be able to study in Poland. You must legitimize your residence in the Republic of Poland. If you are a citizen of any EU country, and you need to remain in Poland more than 3 months, you must register your residency in Poland. If you are a student from a non-EU country however, you need to get a visa from the Polish consulate in your home country before arriving in Poland.

Once you arrive in the Polish lands, you need to apply for a temporary residence card 45 days before the visa expires.

Health and Safety:

Once you decide to study in Poland, you need to get a medical permit that confirms your ability to choose any major of any field to study in Poland. Moreover, you must be well-secured during your residence in Poland.

Health services are not free in Poland. Consequently, you need to have health insurance in case you get sick or have an accident. However, if you are a citizen of any EU country and a bearer of a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), you can enjoy free health services in Poland. In case you don't have this card, you can purchase health insurance in the National Health Fund (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia) for about PLN 40 per month. According to the Bilateral Country Agreement, citizens of Great Britain, Sweden and Slovakia can benefit from Polish health services for free.

The Language:

You don't have to master the Polish language to start your study in Poland. It's enough to speak English, French or German languages.

When applying for any course, you need to present a document that proves you master a foreign language in a way that enables you to pursue your studies. According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, you must have one of these certificates: FCE or CAE or CPE for study in English language, DEFL B2 for study in French language or Certificate Deutsch Plus 3 for study in German language.

Some universities don't require any certificate because they conduct specific language tests as a part of admission measures.
