Scholarships outside Bahrain and scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education

The Bahraini Ministry of Education offers scholarships to high school graduates from public or private schools every year. This allows them to continue their university studies, each according to his specialization, according to standards and conditions at the highest level.

If you choose to study at a university in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Education will pay tuition fees, in addition to providing students with a monthly financial stipend for each semester to cover tuition fees, books, etc.

As for students who study outside Bahrain with the support of the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education is also responsible for the student's tuition fees, as well as the cost of air tickets and the monthly financial stipend for the student, which varies from one country to another according to the standard of living in the scholarship countries.

The Bahraini Ministry of Education offers two types of external scholarships for scholarships:

A scholarship for scholarships funded by the Ministry of Education covers university fees, monthly financial grants, travel expenses, and accommodation for studying abroad.

A scholarship through which the student pays university fees only on the basis of certain conditions or criteria determined by the Ministry of Education when announcing the scholarship.

Crown Prince Scholarship Program for International Scholarships:

Conditions and criteria for obtaining a scholarship for the Crown Prince:

The student must be Bahraini.
Students must be in Year 11 / Year 12 / Secondary 2 (or equivalent).
The student must be outstanding and have a cumulative average of 97% or higher.

How to apply:
Students who meet the criteria must submit their application online during the March annual session application period each year.

Furthermore, the program will contact students who meet the application criteria, including those who are studying outside Bahrain, and then invite them to take a series of qualifying tests to assess their English language and critical thinking skills.

Bahraini students who are currently in Year 11 and have a one-year break approved by the Bahraini Ministry of Education and are currently studying abroad in Year 11 will be required to return to Year 11 in Bahraini Ministry of Education schools in the following subjects in the year until they fulfil their educational requirements. The student won't receive the scholarship until he becomes a current eleventh grade student in Bahrain.

Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation scholarships:

Al-Mabarrah Foundation is a non-profit organization registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development. It was established in 2011. In addition, it aims to create a social impact in the education system and enable Bahraini youth to access real acquired experiences and develop their skills by giving them priority to programs that target Bahraini youth and aligning the institution's vision with Bahrain's vision 2030.

This program provides students with scholarships to enter accredited universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition, providing financial incentives, enrichment seminars, practical experience, and various opportunities to serve the community in a supportive student environment.

Community partnership scholarships:

The Royal College of Surgeons at the Irish Medical University in Bahrain, the British University in Bahrain and the Chinese government, as well as the University of Birmingham, offer scholarships to Bahraini students. Private sector companies and civil society organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain have played an important role and an influential initiative as part of their commitment to social responsibility by providing educational scholarships to students. and female students.

This scholarship is granted by the Ministry of Education to outstanding students who apply for scholarships and obtain an average rate of 90% or more, or its equivalent, through the website of the Bahraini Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Conditions for applying to Bahrain scholarships for outstanding students:

you must fulfil the conditions as follows:

1. The applicant must be a high school graduate with a GPA of 90% or higher.

3. To be medically fit.
4. Completion of more than 6 semesters of high school for public school students or its equivalent for private school students.

6. The scholarship application must be submitted in the same year of high school graduation, with an average of at least 90% for students.

1. Original and copy of the graduation certificate issued by the Examinations Department.
2. Original and photocopy of high school transcripts for all semesters.
3. In the case of private study students, an original statement issued by the Private Education Department at the Ministry of Education must be submitted indicating the cumulative average percentage.
4. Copy of valid passports of the student and sponsor.
5. A certificate of good conduct issued by the school.
6. A copy of the birth certificate.
